# Chess Goat for AI agents

Chess Goat reads public chess.com games and turns them into a player's habits, results and lessons. AI assistants use it through the MCP server below. The public tools are free and need no key or account.

## MCP server

-   No sign-in: `goat_card`, `game_history`, `favorite_openings`, `course_map`, `lessons_for_my_games`, `lesson` and `lesson_puzzles` for the free lessons, `show_position` (an interactive board, MCP Apps) and `goat_report`.
-   With the user's own connection (OAuth 2.1 with PKCE, dynamic client registration): every Goat Pass lesson, `record_lesson` progress and `my_report` for a purchased Goat Report. See [auth.md](https://trychessgoat.com/auth.md).
